I recently took a trip down to Cattaraugus Creek, and I have to say, the smallmouth bass are really biting! The water conditions were just right, and we had a great day out on the water. We managed to catch quite a few smallies, with some of the larger ones tipping the scales at over 4 pounds. We were using a variety of fly patterns, but the most effective seemed to be a Clouser Minnow in a chartreuse and white color scheme. If you're looking to get in on some great smallmouth bass action, then Cattaraugus Creek is definitely the place to be right now. So come on down and join us on the water, and let's catch some fish!
